There's no such thing as "one size fits all" sleep advice because TEMPERAMENT means each baby is unique. If any of this feels like your child...
→ has major FOMO and always fights sleep
→ doesn't vibe with prescribed schedules
→ is seen as "too sensitive"
→ goes a mile a minute 24/7
→ just feels harder than other kids
& you’re looking for a solution that supports your child's needs, so both you and your baby can get better sleep.
BUT WHAT IS TEMPERAMENT?
The study of temperament can be dated back to ancient Greece, and there have been many models and theories since then. It has been extensively researched.
Temperament refers to innate neurophysiologically-based characteristics of infants, including mood, activity level, and emotional reactivity, noticeable soon after birth.
Much of what know about temperament today dates back to the research of Thomas and Chess and their landmark study in the 1950s.
They identified three main temperament types (easy going, slow to warm, and “difficult”).
