 FAQs

  • Nope! While I do talk a lot about breastfeeding, the content in this workshop is meant for exclusive breastfeeders, exclusive pumpers, formula feeders, and anything in between! You'll get tips for weaning from breast AND bottle.

  • Yes! You don't have to have a particular sleeping arrangement to night wean. I'll talk about how to continue bed sharing if you choose, but it's not a requirement!

  • I can't guarantee there will or won't be crying since I don't know your family or your child. Most babies are very attached to night nursing, so there likely will be some tears. In this workshop I talk about this in depth, from how to know the difference between Cry-it-Out and supported tears, to how to know when it's too much. I discuss the supporting of your child's emotions in depth because I believe it's the most important part of this process and deserves to be respected and fully. understood.

  • This really depends on your baby's age, temperament, and readiness. Some babies are night weaned quite quickly, after just a couple of days, especially if they are only dropping one or two feeds. For others, it's more of a 1 step forward, 2 step back type of deal, and can go on for a couple of weeks. For others, to fully night wean takes a month or two of slow and steady progress.

It's important to know that night weaning does not guarantee more/ better sleep, but I'll talk you through how to look for red flags that could be impeding your child's sleep if you aren't seeing any progress.

  • This workshop does not expire. If you go through the material and decide you’re not quite ready, no worries! You’ll be able to log back in and view the workshop anytime you’d like, and the guidebook is yours to keep forever!

More About Rachael

I'm Rachael. I'm a Pediatric Sleep Specialist, former teacher, and mom of 3. I left my 9-year teaching career when my daughter was born, after I decided on a whim to enroll in a Sleep Certification program. I was terrified of dealing with sleep deprivation again, and was desperately looking for answers that didn't include sleep training. What I found was a whole new passion and career path, PLUS a reinvigoration of my own motherhood journey.

I have loved working with babies and children for my entire life, but it wasn't until I became a mom that I understood just how truly all-consuming parenthood can be. Now in the age of social media, it's so hard for parents to sift through all the different philosophies on things like sleep and to know who they should trust. The information overload is so overwhelming! I get it, and I've been there too. I can promise you that I have tried it ALL with my own kids, and now that I'm a trained sleep specialist, I feel so confident in my methods and am beyond proud to share them with you!
